1. About This Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Veggies Farm & Agrotech Nigeria Limited (“Veggies Farm & Agrotech,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles personal information collected through our corporate website at veggiesfarmagrotech.com (the “Website”).
We operate a separate online shop at shop.veggiesfarmagrotech.com (the “Shop”) for the purchase of agricultural products and supplies. This Policy covers the corporate Website described above. The Shop may involve additional data practices related to orders, payments and deliveries, which are addressed in Section 17 below and, once published, in the Shop’s own privacy documentation.
We are committed to being transparent about the personal information we handle and the choices available to you.
2. Who We Are
Veggies Farm & Agrotech Nigeria Limited is a Nigerian agricultural solutions company based in Ibadan, Oyo State, providing greenhouse installation, irrigation system installation, farm consultation, fresh farm produce and agricultural supplies.
For the purposes of this Policy, Veggies Farm & Agrotech Nigeria Limited is the organisation responsible for personal information processed through the Website.
Registered address:
Adekanra, Badeku-Jago Road, New Ife-Express Road, Inukan, Ibadan 200109, Oyo State, Nigeria.
3. Information We Collect
The categories of personal information we may collect depend on how you interact with the Website. They may include:
Identity and Contact Information
- Name
- Phone number
- Email address (where you choose to provide one)
Enquiry Information
- The service or agricultural solution you are enquiring about
- Details of your farm, project or agricultural needs that you choose to share
- The content of any message you send us
Technical Information
Where technically collected as part of normal website operation, this may include your IP address, browser type, device information, and general interaction information such as pages visited. See Section 8 for more detail.
4. How We Collect Information
Directly From You
Most personal information is provided directly by you — for example, when you contact us, request information, or otherwise communicate with us through the Website.
Automatically
Certain technical information may be collected automatically as part of standard website operation and hosting, as described in Sections 8 and 9.
From Third Parties
We do not currently receive personal information about you from third-party sources for use on this Website.
5. How We Use Personal Information
Where we process personal information, we do so to:
- Respond to your enquiries and messages
- Discuss agricultural projects, services and solutions you are interested in
- Provide information you have requested
- Maintain the security and proper functioning of the Website
- Meet applicable legal obligations
We do not use personal information collected through this Website for unrelated advertising or sell personal information to third parties.
6. Lawful Bases for Processing
Where the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 applies, we aim to rely on an appropriate lawful basis for each processing activity, which may include:
- Consent — where you have clearly agreed to a specific use of your information
- Steps taken at your request — such as responding to an enquiry you have made
- Legitimate interests — such as maintaining a secure and functioning website, balanced against your rights and interests
- Legal obligation — where processing is necessary to comply with applicable law
Not every basis applies to every activity described in this Policy. The specific lawful basis for each processing activity is subject to ongoing legal review.
7. Contact Forms and Enquiries
Where the Website includes a contact or enquiry form, information you submit — such as your name, phone number, email address, area of interest and message details — is used to respond to your enquiry and to discuss the agricultural services, solutions or products you are interested in.
We do not currently make any specific claim about how long individual form submissions are stored; please see Section 12 (Data Retention) for our general approach.
8. Website Usage and Technical Information
As with most websites, certain technical information may be processed automatically when you visit — for example, as part of standard web server and hosting operation. This can include information such as IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, and the date and time of access.
This Website is built on WordPress, and some of this technical processing may occur as a normal part of WordPress and website hosting infrastructure. We do not currently have a dedicated analytics platform (such as Google Analytics) installed on this Website. If that changes, this Policy will be updated accordingly.
11. Third-Party Services
The Website uses a small number of third-party technical services to display and operate correctly. Based on the Website’s current build, these are:
- Google Fonts — used to load the typefaces used across the Website. Loading a font involves a request to Google’s servers, which may process technical information such as IP address as part of standard delivery.
- Cloudflare-hosted script and icon libraries — used to load interface elements (such as icons and scroll animations) from a content delivery network, which may similarly process technical request information as part of standard delivery.
We do not currently use advertising networks, analytics platforms, or tracking pixels on this Website. If that changes, this section will be updated to name the specific services used.
12. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected — including responding to your enquiry, and meeting any applicable legal, accounting or operational requirements. We have not established a fixed retention period that applies to every type of information; where a specific retention period is later adopted, it will be reflected here.
13. Data Security
We take reasonable steps appropriate to a website of this kind to protect personal information, including restricting administrative access to the Website and using standard secure (HTTPS) website delivery. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
14. Your Data Protection Rights
Subject to applicable Nigerian data protection law, you may have rights that include the right to:
- Be informed about how your personal information is used
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Object to certain processing of your information
- Request restriction of processing in certain circumstances
- Request erasure of your information in certain circumstances
- Withdraw consent, where processing is based on consent
These rights may be subject to conditions and exceptions under applicable law. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details in Section 19. We may need to verify your identity, and request reasonably necessary information to do so, before responding to your request.
15. Children and Young Persons
This Website is intended for a general business audience. We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children in circumstances where applicable law would require parental or guardian authorisation. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we can address it appropriately.
16. International Data Transfers
Some of the third-party technical services described in Section 11 may involve information being processed on servers located outside Nigeria as part of their standard global infrastructure. Where this occurs, we expect appropriate safeguards to be applied by those providers. We have not otherwise identified processing of personal information outside Nigeria in connection with this Website at this time.
17. External Links, Social Media & Shop
The Website may contain links to third-party destinations, including:
- Our social media profiles — Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok
- Our online shop at shop.veggiesfarmagrotech.com
If you interact with our social media profiles, that interaction is processed by the relevant platform under its own privacy practices — we do not control how those platforms handle your information.
Our Shop may involve additional data practices related to orders, payments, delivery and customer accounts. Those practices are not covered by this Policy and will be addressed in the Shop’s own privacy and legal documentation once published.
Once you leave our Website through any external link, your activity is governed by that destination’s own privacy policy, not this one.
18. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — for example, if our website functionality, services, or legal obligations change. The “Last Updated” date at the top of this page reflects when this Policy was last revised.
